1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Membrane ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Membrane provides a personal intelligence platform that parses chat archives provided by you to build a structured reference layer and search interface. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have lawful authorization to upload and analyze any conversations you import.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Upload content that violates the privacy or intellectual property rights of third parties without consent.
• Attempt to compromise, reverse engineer, or probe the security of the Membrane backend or AI pipelines.
• Use the service for illegal surveillance, harassment, or non-consensual tracking of individuals.

4. Subscription & Billing

Membrane offers free and paid subscription tiers (such as Membrane Pro). Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring monthly basis via Stripe. You can cancel your subscription at any time via Settings → Plan.

5. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Membrane makes no warranty that the AI-derived summaries, personality analyses, or retrieval results will be 100% accurate, complete, or error-free.
